Coats for Kids Drive Nets 200 Coats for Folks in Need

Health experts report that even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, loss of coordination, and confusion. Adults cannot work effectively and children find it difficult to learn. For most, a warm coat solves the problem. But, for the nearly 15% of Americans living in poverty, a warm winter coat is a budget “extra.” Everyone should have one warm coat. In our Coats for Kids Drive, we asked for gently used and new coats that would be donated to organizations in Macon County and in one week we collected 200 coats! Thank you so much to our Trimont family for being so generous!

Trimont Students and Families Step up to PTO Food Drive Challenge

Earlier this year, the Trimont PTO challenged each class to fill a seat on the bus with as much food as it could collect. In just a short time, our "FILL THE BUS" drive was a huge success! We were able to donate 965 pounds of food to CareNet! Thank you so much to everyone who brought in donations of food! CareNet was so appreciative for the donation. AND our 6th grade class won a cupcake party for their classroom by bringing in the most cans of food.
